Sheryl Schwartz, LPC

Sheryl Schwartz received her Bachelor's in Psychology in 1993 at Colorado State University and worked with at risk youth until she returned to school and obtained her Master of Counseling at Adams State University in 2005. Sheryl spent the next 10 years working in Residential Treatment with youth and their families where she helped developed programs for Native American adults and youth and sexual trafficked youth.

Later she worked with adults in IP care with significant mental health illnesses and/or substance use by supporting their transition into the community.

Strength and Skill-Based

Sheryl utilizes a strength and skill based approach with therapy. She utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support her clients. Sheryl has experience working with teens, families, and individuals in outpatient and inpatient settings. She works with varying levels and types of mental health needs. Sheryl specialized with anxiety, complex trauma disorders, mood disorders, sleep, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
